Catnip (Nepeta cataria) is much love by cats and used in herbal medicine. A very easy plant to grow, our catnip is herbicide and pesticide free.
Our catnip is sold in a 3” biodegradable container that can be directly transplanted into your garden. You can also use this container to continue to grow your catnip plant.
Fresh Versus Dried Catnip
Fresh catnip is more potent than dried catnip. This because cats are more attracted to fresh catnip for the scent (vs. the flavor).
Catnip is a member of the mint family and can be invasive if not controlled (we recommend planting it in a pot vs in a raised bed). Full sun along with poor, but well-drained soil will make for a happy plant.
Pineapple Sage Cold Hardiness
Catnip is best adapted to zones 3-9 in the United States. Catnip is a perennial usually dies back in the winter and will return when temperatures are warmer.
